We Care Awards 2025: 3rd prize
“Safety and health are not just goals – they are part of who we are.”
The Defontaine Group celebrates a proud achievement at the 2025 we care Awards
At the Defontaine Group, safety and health are more than just priorities – they are part of our culture. Every day, our teams work with passion and creativity to make our workplace safer, healthier, and more inclusive. This commitment was recently recognized at the tk we care Awards 2025, an initiative that honors outstanding projects across the entire group.
This year, around 20 submissions from nine countries showcased inspiring ideas and dedication. Among them, the Defontaine Group proudly earned 3rd place with a project that truly reflects its values with Exercise, Courage, and Togetherness.
Our Winning Project: we care day at the Defontaine Group
Led by Julien Lege, safety officer and the HR team, we organized an extraordinary occupational safety and health day at our site in La Bruffière, France. Under the motto “we care day,” the event focused on exercise – but with a unique and inspiring twist: all activities were Paralympic and guided by real Paralympic athletes. On 18 June 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Pays de la Loire regional disabled sports committee, which gave our employees the opportunity to discover and try out various Paralympic activities: wheelchair basketball, archery and blowpipe shooting.
This special encounter went far beyond physical activity. It created a space where motivation, team spirit, and mutual respect came together. The result? A powerful boost for physical well-being, emotional connection, and a genuine sense of community – perfectly aligned with the we care philosophy.
We are proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone who contributed to making this day a success. At the Defontaine Group, we believe that safety and health are not just goals – they are a shared responsibility and a way of life.
