> Defontaine Group is a French industrial group that designs and manufactures slewing rings and complex mechanical parts and sub-assemblies for high-technology industries. Founded in 1946 in La Bruffière (France), the group operates 3 production plants in France, Tunisia and China, serves more than 1,300 customers on 5 continents and exports 85% of its production. Its growth is based on two core technologies: flash butt welding of rolled rings and induction heat treatment.

The group has two brands. Rollix, created in 1969, designs and manufactures slewing rings and special bearings, with or without gear teeth, for wind energy, machine tools, rail, forestry, marine, medical and defense applications; Rollix reports more than one million slewing rings sold and a 21% global market share in wind turbine blade bearings. Defontaine produces complex mechanical parts (flanges and sectors, casings, automotive components) for aerospace, helicopter, automotive and defense customers.
